October in 3rd and 4th

October 2019

It's been a hectic run up to the Halloween break. In maths we did lots of work on 2 and 3D shape. You can see we went on a shape trail searching for shapes below. We also played shape dominoes. We also did lots of work on time. We examined and compared Stone Age and Bronze Age in history and compiled a fact jigsaw. In science we looked at what plants need to grow and investigated by growing cress seeds in a variety of conditions. In art we made headbands and wristbands in anticipation of the county final. We played Gaelic football with Ollie Coffey. We finished our class novel Sandman and the Turtles. In conjunction with Oola Tidy Towns we went on a nature walk with Albert Nolan and discovered all sorts of birds, insects and plants in our immediate environment. We need a week off to recover.....
