Carols From The Classes

December 14th, 2016

On Wednesday, December 14th all pupils were involved in a Christmas Carol Service in our local church. Proceedings began with all pupils on the altar singing traditional Christmas carols. Junior and Senior Infants brought us the nativity from the point of view of the poor inn keeper who had a sleepless night! First and Second class brought us songs from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and the very catchy "I Want a Hippopotamus For Christmas". 3rd and 4th played Christmas tunes on their tin whistles. 5th and 6th brought us the very beautiful "Winter Song". Senior pupils gave their rendition of Band Aid. We finished with everyone joining in Silent Night and The Christmas Alphabet. It was a very enjoyable evening and succeeded in spreading some festive cheer!

Many thanks to Noel Culbert for the photos.
